Alarms alerting of a suspected terrorist infiltration sounded in the northern West Bank settlement of Kiryat Netafim on Wednesday.
The military said the details of the incident were under review.
An hour later, Israel's Home Front Command said that the terrorist infiltration event had ended, and said residents of the area were allowed to exit their homes.
