Press statements by other opposition leaders
Democrats chairman Yair Golan gave a press conference at the spot later in the afternoon.
Other figures who made press statements included protest leaders Moshe Radman and Yaya Fink.
The Jerusalem Municipality ordered the makeshift offices to be taken down, citing a “lack of coordination”.
The municipality’s spokesperson said in response to a query, “The Jerusalem Municipality makes every effort to maintain the balance between the right to protest and maintaining order in public space. The tents were erected today without coordination, without receiving requisite municipal approval, and therefore they were required to evacuate them.”
As of 6:00 p.m. on Monday, they had yet to be taken down.
